My client is a recruitment specialist within the city of London.
Description
The key duties for the role of Accounts Assistant are:
- Full responsibility for credit control, build relationships with customers via phone/email & resolve queries
- Updating and preparing Aged Debtors Reports
- Weekly update on outstanding debtors and review possible write off's to FM
- Ensuring invoices are paid and keeping aged debt to a minimum
- Processing timesheets for contractors/clients
- Raising sales invoices
- Monthly managed service and prepayment invoices
- Checking and updating purchase order numbers
- Setting up payments to supplier using online banking
- Checking and posting supplier invoices
- Sending remittances to suppliers
- Posting bank transactions on Sage
- Using Sage and other software to add customers and suppliers
- Process Petty Cash at the end of each month
- Work closely with line manager to ensure priorities are being dealt with
- Act as holiday/sickness cover for the Finance Manager
Profile
The successfully candidate must have/be:
- Good academic background (A*-C GCSE / A-levels)
- Ability to work on their own
- Excellent communication skills - Applicant must be able to communicate confidently, accurately and concisely, both verbally and in writing with a wide range of candidates
- Ability to communicate with non-data users
- Experienced using a variety of IT packages - mainly Excel, Word, Outlook & Sage
- Ability to organise and prioritise a complex workload and work to tight deadlines whilst maintaining a positive attitude
- Ability to deal with large amounts of data
- High level of professionalism
