Cost Accountant

The Cost Accountant will be the key contact between the finance and project teams, producing detailed financial reports to aid the project team. The Cost Accountant will also work closely with the wider Finance team in completing other key responsibilities for the Bury St. Edmunds based Manufacturing and Production business.

Description

The Cost Accountant will:

• Act as the primary contact for the project team in helping understand cost a delivery
• Develop and maintain accurate financial reporting for projects
• Prepare both the budget and rolling forecasts
• Explanation of operational KPIs and cost & variance analysis
• Develop and implement processes to ensure project finances are as streamlined as possible

Profile

The successful Cost Accountant will:

• Be either ACCA or CIMA part qualified
• Have knowledge of cost management, capital spend and fixed assets
• Advanced Excel user
• Strong analytical skills
• Be confident in creating and maintaining key relationships
• Be a progression and ambitious individual
