Intermediate Accountant

On behalf of a company based in the centre of Reading I am recruiting for a permanent Financial Accountant to join their expanding finance team.

My client has an expanding finance team with a number of different progression routes on offer for the right candidate.

Description

The successful applicant for this permanent role will be responsible for the following key tasks:

• Responsible for managing a portfolio of clients where you will take ownership of deliverables including the completion of monthly client management accounts
• Preparing, processing and recording bank transactions
• Processing purchase, sales and general ledger entries
• Responsible for the reconciliation of the balance sheet items and the preparation of supporting schedules for all balance sheet
• Preparation of relevant tax filings such as VAT returns
  

Profile

To be considered for this permanent role you must posses the following:

• Studying towards a recognised accounting qualification (ACCA/ACA)
• Intermediate excel skills- including the ability to perform Vlookups and Pivot Tables
• Exposure to working in a practise or a multi-site environment
• Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to communicate effectively (written & oral) at all levels
