What you'll do
Compliance and Conduct is responsible for managing the compliance and conduct risk profile of the bank within appetite, in line with regulatory requirements and ensuring that we deliver good customer outcomes. We work with franchise and function colleagues, providing insight, oversight and challenge to support them to achieve the bank's strategy to become number one for customer service, trust and advocacy. Key to your role will be ensuring that the bank serves it's customers in a safe and sustainable way.

You'll need strong experience in a compliance, conduct or risk management role, with the ability to manage and influence business stakeholders. You should also have experience of the regulatory environment and frameworks.

What you'll do

Day to day, you'll be:
- Providing regulatory compliance and conduct insight, oversight and challenge in relation to Investments, ensuring compliance arrangements take account of core FCA Principles
- Contributing to the assessment of the conduct strategy for the relevant business units to ensure it's consistent with and supports an effective regulatory framework through the provision of advice, guidance and effective reporting
- Providing advice to ensure conflicts of interest and potential market abuse risks are managed appropriately including the provision of adequate physical and virtual segregation strategies, effective communications surveillance and deployment of robust controls and MI
- Providing regulatory advice and analysis in relation to relevant business initiatives, bespoke projects, transactions and investigations to ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations
- Supporting the identification of potential or actual conduct and compliance risks, and ensuring appropriate escalation, remediation and mitigation to manage risks back within appetite
The skills you'll need
You'll need strong experience in a compliance, conduct or risk management role, with the ability to manage and influence business stakeholders. You should also have experience of the regulatory environment and frameworks.
You'll also need:
- A good understanding of conduct risk management principles as they apply to investment products and services
- Good knowledge and understanding of the Risk operating environment, associated policies, procedures and protocols
- Strong interpersonal, communication and influencing skills
- Proven organisational and planning skills
