The role of Revenue Analyst plays a crucial function in providing a revenue service to specific areas of the London practice, including time management, billing and client reporting.

My client is a leading law firm in London.
Description
The key responsibilities of this Revenue Analyst position include:
- Preparation of monthly invoices for designated Practice area/s
- Take responsibility for quality and accuracy and adherence to SRA Accounts Rules and VAT regulations
- Reporting to include time narratives and basic WIP reports. Time transfers and deletions, narrative amendments. Dealing with time entry requests. File closures.
- Management reporting
- Client reporting
- Undertake further duties as directed by the Revenue Team Leader and/or Financial Controller
- Support to billing teams to ensure that soft costs are uploaded to GPMS as necessary
- Support to finance teams to ensure that cost and budget rates are loaded to GPMS as required
- Global reporting
- Contribute to the GPMS Reporting knowledge base
- Rates analysis/pricing templates
Profile
The successful candidate for this Revenue Analyst position will display the following:
- Strong legal billing experience, ideally reflecting use of a recognized legal practice management system (e.g. Aderant Expert, Elite or SAP).
- Good working knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook and general familiarity with IT systems.
- An ability to process e-bills is an advantage.
- Intermediate MS Excel
- Strong problem solver with a logical and methodical approach to issues
- Understanding of financial analysis and reporting
- Must be articulate and professional in delivery, with a well-developed sense of discretion.
- Experience of legal firm or other professional service firm systems preferred
- Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve with a client service driven approach
- Ability to take responsibility, meet deadlines and work under pressure with multiple tasks/assisting legal revenue teams where necessary
- SQL skills
