Accountant

The Accountant will work within the accounts team and report to the CFO. The successful candidate will be responsible for book keeping, intercompany reconciliations, managing entities to trial balance, bank reconciliations and VAT returns for group entities and client companies.

An independent Law Firm with an international presence offering legal services to high-net worth individuals & private companies. This office is located in their ideally located, Central London headquarters.

Description

Responsibilities of the Accountant will include:

• Managing entities to trial balance

• Bank reconciliations

• Preparation and submission of VAT returns for individual entities

• Preparation and submission of VAT returns for groups

• Preparation financial information as requested by management

• Prepare cash forecast

• Production of client Statements;

• Liaising with external institutions, including banks and tax authorities;

• Ensuring all internal and client bookkeeping is up to date and accurate.

Profile

The successful Accountant candidate:

• Min. 2 years' experience in a similar role
• Part-Qualified towards a professional accountancy qualification or QBE
• Comfortable with the above duties
• Experience working with multiple entities is a bonus
• A working knowledge of sage is desirable
• At least an intermediate knowledge of Excel is required
