Divisional Controller

Our client is the holding company of a fast growing company formed by a number of consolidating acquisitions in the hard commodity space.

The office in London is developing and as such you would be a key component of a boutique team based in the City.

Description

The Divisional Controller based in London will hold the following responsibilities:

• Running the monthly management reporting process and developing a full suite of high quality financial and operational reports to allow the Board to track the progress of the Division;

• Taking over responsibility from the parent for risk management within the Division;

• Working with overseas subsidiaries to ensure they have adequate funding and that their systems, controls, compliance and reporting are up to date and fit for purpose for a company seeking to list;

• Working with the finance team and the reporting accountants on the due diligence, forecasting and prospectus preparation for the IPO;

• Assisting in running the annual Group audit process;

• Assisting the CFO, Head of Financial Reporting and advisers on financial information for investor presentations and roadshows;

• Budgeting, forecasting and business plan development

Profile

The Divisional Controller based in London will have had the following exposure:

• Qualified accountant with circa 3-5 years post qualification experience in a commercial, ideally international environment

• Prior commodity or trading experience would be highly desirable

• Strong technical accounting and analytical skills

• Excellent Office skills; knowledge of Navision or SAP would be advantageous

• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to foster best practice across a diverse area
