Job Scope
Under the direction of the Finance Manager assist in the completion of daily accounts payable processing, payments and other finance related tasks.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

Accounts payable:

  • Input and process invoices when they come into finance department
  • Process and check expense claims ensuring adherence to company expense policy and HMRC tax rules
  • Check invoices for appropriate authorisation and applicable VAT rates
  • Prepare journals as and when appropriate
  • Process credit card statements and preparation of journal

Payment and receipt of funds:

  • Process authorised payments and receipts though the company bank accounts
  • Prepare company BACS/cheques and other methods of payments as required
  • Reconcile bank accounts on a daily basis
  • Prepare daily cash flow reports
  • Prepare deposits and loans
  • Liaise with relevant departments regarding bank transactions
  • Receive check and input updated settlement instructions
  • Send SWIFT messages to clients when requested


  • Assist with the general administration within the finance and treasury department
  • Assist in month end processes as required by the finance team
  • Assist in providing information for quarterly, annual and audits
  • Assist in improving current accounting and financing procedure

Person Specification

  • A good team player
  • Ability to multitask with good attention to detail
  • Good excel skills
