Assistant Director/Senior Manager, Finance
You are expected to provide technical accounting insights and advice in the various forms of transaction execution, for example in financial and tax due diligence, financial modelling and deal structuring in various financial instruments. You will be the go-to person in terms of accounting knowledge and are expected to do preliminary research into accounting treatment of the various transaction structures. You are also expected to perform the accounting analysis of post-acquisition and disposals of investments such as PPA allocation, goodwill accounting, non-controlling interests and gain or loss on step-up acquisition and disposal. You will also assist in the group consolidation and reporting process.
You should possess excellent and up-to-date accounting knowledge and practices and commercial understanding of transactions. A good degree in Accountancy from a reputable university and qualification as a Certified Public Accountant/Chartered Accountant is a must. Higher tertiary education is an advantage. You should have a minimum of 10 years of experience in an auditing or technical environment. Strong cross-border commercial experience is required.
To succeed in this role, you should have strong intellectual and analytical ability, clarity in thinking, working tax knowledge, understand business risks and able to carry out work independently with minimal supervision. You should be a self-starter, be resourceful and have the executive presence to work with senior management teams, investors and stakeholders of the business and investee companies.
