Responsibilities:
- To manage IT financials covering the effective deployment of IT budget in the Bank as well as the management of direct IT expenditures in staffing, infrastructure, vendors and other department expenses
- To provide transparent reporting and strong management of IT expenditures through governing the annual planning process and tracking of monthly actuals vs forecast
- To actively govern IT resources required to meet the business plan. This is achieved through the creation and monitoring of the departmental man power plan covering IT resources in Hong Kong, offshore development centres in China and the provision of vendor and contract resources
- Acting as the Programme Management Office, to provide monitoring and reporting of key initiatives in the IT order book and enable business management to have clear views on the health of the IT portfolio including progress, risks, issues, financials and deliveries
- To manage third party providers in terms of engagement, contracts and onboarding processes so that vendor can operate efficiently in the Bank to deliver their contractual commitments
- To promote staff engagement in the IT function and manage feedback and improvement suggestions from the team so as to achieve high departmental morale
- To act as the key communication channel within IT, supporting internal communication within the department and external communication of IT changes, announcements and achievements within the Bank
Requirements:
- University degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related discipline, having strong IT management experience with at least 2 years at the management level
- Exposure in managing a diverse function with scale and multiple business lines. Experience in the banking or finance industry will be an asset
- Effective interpersonal, communication and stakeholder management skills, a team player and strong ability to communicate across different levels in the organisation
- Exceptional analytical, organisational, planning and operations management skills, and with good attention to details. Finance management experience will be an advantage
- Strong problem management skills, good insight into pre-empting issues, multi-tasking and operating under pressure
- Track record in supporting IT programmes in a complex environment, preferably on a regional or global scale. Prior experience in IT project management will be an advantage
- Great sense of ownership and servicing mindset to ensure efficient and effective customer service processes
