The Australian Fixed Income Product Control team supports the Rates and Financing business for Australia & New Zealand in the Corporate & Investment Bank (C&IB) division of JP Morgan. Its core function is to ensure the integrity of the bank's financial records as represented in its general ledger, as well as monitor the risk for the business.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Understand P&L calculation for interest rate derivatives, bonds and FX forwards
  • Understand risk metrics for the above instruments
  • Daily P&L production, risk reporting and commentary on main revenue drivers
  • Maintaining one or more core reconciliation processes including reviewing reconciliations of reported P&L to the general ledger produced by offshore team
  • Different ad-hoc reports


To be successful, you will need:
  • Minimum of 4 years experience within financial industry
  • Degree in Accounting/Mathematics/Economics/Commerce would be preferred
  • Strong financial markets product knowledge
  • Good understanding of market risk and differential discounting would be desirable
  • Strong excel skills
  • Accounting knowledge on how the balance sheet of a markets business is structured and funded is highly desirable
  • Ability to work well under pressure and be a logical thinker
