Accounts and Payroll Manager The Ashling Hotel are recruiting for an Accounts and Payroll Manager. The Candidate must have at least 3 to 5 years relevant experience in book keeping and a good knowledge of general accounting.   Main Responsibilities  ·         Preparation and Maintenance of the Purchase Ledger Control ·         Preparation and Maintenance of the Sales Ledger Control ·         Processing and maintaining the Payroll for 140 -145 employees on a fortnightly basis ·         Counting and preparing daily lodgements with the different shifts and reconciling each shift and identifying any discrepancies. ·         Bank Reconciliations ·         Administration of petty cash ·         Vat Returns ·         Control Accounts and Reports are done monthly to Trial Balance stage which are required for the Quarterly Audit by our External Auditors. ·         Dealing with Ad Hoc queries that arises daily, by post, emails etc.   Requirements for the role ·         This person must possess an ability to work to tight deadlines, be flexible, have excellent attention to detail, have high initiative and be result focused. ·         Strong IT skills in implementing and operating accounting software and front office systems. Experience with Opera, Quantum and Sage are an advantage. ·         Good organisation skills and ability to prioritise in a busy environment. ·         Have excellent communication skills and be able to work on own initiative and work as part of a Team
