With over 300 employees from a multitude of backgrounds, the Finance department in Cork supports all functions of Apple in EMEIA, including Sales Fulfilment, Logistics, Manufacturing and Operations, Apple Music, Apple Retail as well as being part of the Global Business Solutions function. This role is part of our P2P team which supports global commodity procurement and accounting. The Accounts Payable team is responsible for high volume inventory and non-inventory invoice processing and vendor payments within EMEIA. Strict financial controls must be adhered to whilst supporting both the business and the Apple large base of key vendors. This position will support Apple P2P Payment function complying with local rules and regulations. You will be part of the P2P Disbursements team and will be responsible for ensuring that all payments are made on a timely basis, resolve any banking queries and action accordingly where payment is delayed. Key Qualifications: •Previous experience of AP invoice payments for numerous vendors in multiple currencies is desirable •Experience of working in a high volume accounting environment with tight deadlines is key •Posting of journals through both the Accounts Payable Ledger and the General Ledger and knowledge of balance sheet items •Demonstrated technical and analytical skills. SAP or equivalent ERP system experience required •Excellent communication skills with strong organisation, multi-tasking and prioritising skills Description: You will become a member of the wider Finance team with global interactions with Apple supply and banking partners. This is a key role in a dynamic environment with the potential for the role to develop further with additional responsibilities in line with business requirements. Responsible for executing all P2P payment runs for EMEIA sites Ensuring that payments are processed timely and executed SOX controls and appropriately accounted for Responsible for coordinating cash requirements with Treasury Ops Responsible for timely, accurate and comprehensive reconciliation Ability to conduct research on payment issues that may happen, providing recommendations on the necessary changes, liaising with banking partners, Treasury and IT to resolve issues Building on the knowledge learnt so that process improvements can be identified and followed through to implementation Willingness to partake in projects within the P2P Payment team Working with cross-functional project team to ensure delivery of solutions Responsible for documenting, maintaining and training in P2P procedures and system process flows Safeguard Apple's integrity from a compliance perspective Foster a Customer First culture that ensures delivery of timely and quality services to both internal and external customers Education: Qualified Accounting Technician or studying for similar qualification
