Basic Job Function: Manage all the Accounting activities of Wersec to ensure achievement of operational, administrative and financial targets. Management support: Analyse business performance and generate recommendations for improvement Stay informed of market trends and competitor activity and make recommendations for improvement Preparation of ad hoc business plans, analyses and reports as required Design and generate additional routine reports that give insights into financial and operational performance Budgeting Assist the Finance Director with the compilation of the annual operating budget, quarterly forecasts and long term plan Reporting and controls: Assist in the completion of monthly accounts in line with the internal accounting calendar Ensure the maintenance of an up to date trial balance and balance sheet, ensuring all reconciliations are complete and accurate Assist in the preparation of annual statutory accounts Monitor internal control processes to ensure adherence to best practice Reconcile payroll reports back to templates submitted Production of Daily and Weekly Analysis in the areas of Revenue, Gross Profit and payroll analysis Cash Management/Sales: Manage all cash handling processes within the outlets and ensure all cash is reconciled daily Bank and credit card transactions reconciliation Purchasing / Stocks: Enter all purchases to ensure appropriate controls are in place with regard to PO's and invoices Ensure invoices are authorised for payment Purchase Ledger Reconciliation Overseeing monthly stock takes Sales: Sales invoicing as required Managing Debtors ledger Sales ledger reconciliation Payroll: Assist with fortnightly payroll for submission to payroll provider Skills & Qualifications required: Relevant qualification in finance / accounting.
