The GraceKennedy Remittance Services Group of Companies invites applications for the position of: Senior Compliance Officer The Senior Compliance Officer will be required to provide support to the Jamaica Compliance Team to ensure that at all times, an effective AML/CFT and regulatory compliance program is in effect.  The incumbent will report to the Compliance Manager, Jamaica and will have all Compliance Analysts in Jamaica reporting to him/her. The successful candidate will: Provide assistance to the Compliance Manager with developing, implementing and monitoring the compliance programme for GKMS operations in Jamaica. Work in tandem with the Compliance Manager to ensure that the Business Units, Compliance and AML programmes are operating in accordance with the laws and regulated guidelines. Provide continuous monitoring and analysis and ensuring statutory reporting requirements are met. Assist with the review and update of the update of the compliance manuals to reflect legislation and policies. Ensure that all locations are licensed and complying with licensing requirements. Generate agreed standards reports for Management review. Maintain compliance records for required regulatory period. Serve as a contact between the organization, auditors, and government officials during regulatory audits or compliance examinations. Respond to government and law enforcement investigations and queries in a timely manner. Monitor sub-agent networks to ensure compliance with operating guidelines and internal policies and procedures. The ideal candidate should have: Bachelor's Degree in a business-related field or an alternate combination of education and experience. Certification in Compliance (would be an asset). A minimum of three (3) years' working experience in the field of Compliance with a financial institution. Fair understanding of the financial regulatory environment and the relevant laws and institutions that govern them. Solid analytical skills. Excellent time management skills. High level of personal iniative, integrity and organizational skills. Keen sense of confidentiality and objectivity. Sound decision makings and problems solving skills, with a good grasp of operational procedures, preferably in a financial environment. Demonstrated knowledge of computer software, preferred Microsoft Suite.
