SCJ HOLDINGS LIMITED JOB DESCRIPTION POST:                              JUNIOR INTERNAL AUDITOR DEPARTMENT:            AUDIT LOCATION:                   CORPORATE OFFICE WORKING RELATIONSHIP REPORTS TO                                     :        The Senior Internal Auditor HAS REPORTING TO HIM/HER    :       (No. of persons and positions-directly) 0 MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB The Junior Internal Auditor will strengthen and enhance the organization's structure, systems, processes and operational effectiveness and efficiency. RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACTIVITIES Review contracts, payments and other executed documents for evidence or indication of authorization of transaction Determine compliance with company controls and procedures for execution of documents and payment methods Compile information on employee or staff access to particular forms of data and computer systems Retrieve bank or financial statements, receipts, invoices, checks and other documentation of company transactions Compare invoices, checks and receipts with statements to find inconsistencies or incomplete documentation Examine statements, forms and internal organization controls for compliance with regulatory and accounting standards Evaluate reliability of source of financial data Identify potential breaches in data or system security, including vulnerability to computer hacking Report findings of audit to senior auditors or to management as directed by supervisors QUALIFICATION At least Associate  Degree in Accounting or Finance Minimum of 1 year of Internal Auditing work experience (Public Sector experience would be an asset) REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS: Ability to manipulate large amounts of data and to compile reports High attention to detail and excellent analytical skills Excellent written/verbal communication skills Sound independent judgement High level of integrity and confidentiality Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite especially Excel Team Player who is willing to take a hands-on approach to the role
