Highly commercial Finance opportunity with this active, Pan European Private Equity business with additional interests in Real Estate.
Focussing on buyouts of asset rich businesses, the company have a current portfolio close to £2bn with extensive deployable capital. They have a hand on asset management strategy with much of the corporate finance and structuring work done in house. They also have a number of other ventures and this role would work closely with the CFO and CEO to manage those as well.
This role has excellent commercial exposure, working with the acquisitions team as well as the senior management within the portfolio.
Duties:
Management Company duties:
- Financial control supported by a number of qualified accountants and administrators
- Full consolidation in IFRS, UK, LUX GAAP
- Statutory reporting and coordination of annual audits
- Assisting with setting and reviewing annual budgets, forecasts and re-forecasts
- Planning, implementing and maintaining accountancy and budgeting systems and policies
Asset Management duties of current and future portfolio investments:
- Accounting and other financial analysis tasks
- Project management
- Portfolio performance monitoring and management
- Portfolio valuations
- Development of financial and fund models
Fund Accounting and management of fund administration duties:
- Liaising on a regular basis with overseas fund administration providers
- Managing investor requests and queries
- Maintaining the accounts of the fund and associated entities
- Calculation of drawdowns and distributions
- Investor and board reporting
- Regulatory compliance
- Assisting with fund formation
- UK VAT returns and Corporate Tax
Requirements:
- Chartered Accountant (ACA or equivalent), trained in a reputable practice
- 6 - 10 years finance experience including exposure to private equity fund structures
- Good knowledge of Fund administration and fund accounting
- Financial and management accounting skills (including audit)
- Experience of FCA-regulated structures and businesses
- Strong financial modelling skills in Excel (VBA desirable)
- Highly numerate, methodical in prioritising work and multi-tasking and able to demonstrate
- attention to detail with great communication skills
- Ability to work with discretion when dealing with confidential information
Desirable:
- Exposure to hedging strategies and instruments
- Valuation and analysis experience
- Exposure to Luxembourg, Dutch, Jersey and Isle of Man GAAP
