APRA is seeking a Manager to lead the Data Quality Framework team within our Risk and Data Analytics Division. Managing this team you will gain a unique perspective across the finance industry as you interact with a wide range of stakeholders across industry, APRA and other government agencies.


The Manager will contribute to APRA's goal to improve data-enabled decision making by contributing to the data strategy, implementing APRA's Data Quality Framework, and leading the team that plays a key role in ensuring that the data APRA collects in order to inform and support core APRA functions and responsibilities is fit for purpose.
The team will analyse the data APRA collects and work with suppliers and users of the data, including APRA's supervisors, Risk and Data Analytics teams and external stakeholders at other agencies such as the RBA and ABS, to identify and implement opportunities for quality improvement.

This role offers the opportunity to take part in APRA's data transformation project with a reach across the Australian financial system, in an area undergoing significant change.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record in leading, managing and developing teams, with a background in data analysis desirable. This role has a very broad footprint, so excellent stakeholder management communication skills are a must. Strong project and priority management skills are crucial to being successful in this role.
