Tax Senior Associate - Large Corporate - Castle Donington
Location: Castle Donington
Salary: Competitive
Closing date: 14th August

About the team
We have an opportunity for Senior Associates to join the Large Corporate Tax team in the East Midlands office. We advise a variety of clients and industry sectors from household brands to local manufacturers and the role will include advising across a broad spectrum of issues such as tax advisory and structuring, tax accounting, tax compliance and audit of tax.

You will form a key member of the tax relationship team on your allocated clients, becoming a direct point of contact for the client into PwC and the services we offer; both your existing internal network and knowledge of PwC's offerings, and passion to broaden these areas across both cross-tax and XLOS should be a natural interest for you. You will become the person on your clients who has a deep understanding of their business issues and opportunities and will know who is advising them on what issue; having an active interest in the bigger picture and being able to knit our services together is key.

You will either already have, or have the enthusiasm to develop, a strong foundation in key areas of UK corporate tax legislation and will proactively seek to consolidate this knowledge so that you are able to gauge trigger points in general client conversations to ignite opportunities.

You will be working directly to managers/senior managers and often with our tax directors and partners, providing tax advice to your portfolio of clients. Our aim is seamless client service, from complex tax planning to compliance related matters, working as trusted advisors to our clients. From time to time you will assist clients with queries directly as you develop your confidence and experience. You will have a pool of associates who you will be expected to take an interest in developing and make effective use of through delegation.

We are looking for someone who is personable, curious and naturally draws clients and colleagues alike in to conversation, quickly developing trust. If you are self-motivated, keen to build on your experience and looking to both contribute to and benefit from a great team environment, we would like to hear from you. You will be expected to organise, monitor and manage your own workload and assist in the development of other staff as required.
The role will predominantly be based in our Donington Court office but may involve trips to our Birmingham office or wherever your clients are based as required. We work flexibly and closely with our colleagues in International Tax, joining them for team huddles and other training, and you will likely have the opportunity to experience working on specific projects with them depending on their needs and your capacity.
