Description

Key responsibilities of the successful Finance Manager include:

  • To lead and manage the finance function and implement key strategies, policies and decisions.
  • To produce and maintain accurate accounts for all aspects of the institute's activities
  • To closely monitor the budget, including the construction of monthly reports for a variety of audiences including non-finance professionals and budget holders
  • To provide, report and interpret management information and data to inform decision-making and enable planning including cash-flow monitoring, reporting and projection.
  • To lead and manage the payroll function
  • Financial Modelling of a 3-5 year business plan
  • Leadership of the finance function of a large public sector and government health institution

Profile

The successful Finance Manager will have:

  • Experience in a similar role
  • Experience of management accounts
  • Financial modelling experience
  • Business partnering experience ideally with Trustees
  • A clear communicator
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Numerate with an eye for detail
  • At least part-qualified in a recognised accounting qualification, or qualified by experience
