The Group Consolidation (GS) Project Tax Lead will:

  • Input into design, remediation and testing of tax processes through implementation of new GCS
  • Design and build tax schedules in GCS and templates to facilitate group consolidation calculations to ensure these are fit for purpose. Update Smartview files to perform consolidation of tax figures
  • Design and document new process around revised input process ensuring SOX and FCF compliance
  • Along with wider project team, define testing for tax processes and taking all steps to ensure testing completed appropriately, including designing criteria, performing and reviewing testing, supporting aspects of wider process. This will take place across both dry and parallel runs

  • Understand local tax reporting processes, standardise local excel files and Smartviews. Write global SOPs and training to ensure appropriate and provide training to impacted organisations, ensuring these are SOX and FCF compliant
  • Facilitate wider updates to tax reporting processes e.g. automation, excel and other technology improvements

  • Represent tax within wider GCS project team, including communicating tax requirements to project team and work with project team to define change plan for any outstanding gaps and drive resolution of outstanding issues.

The role holder will work collaboratively with:

  • GCS project team

  • Other GCS worksteams e.g. Data, SAP Projects, Design and project management


  • Experience of global change programmes in large/complex organisations.
  • Strong understanding of tax reporting, financial accounting and statutory consolidation
  • Proven track record of delivery of tax reporting process change in complex, global organisations
  • Knowledge of standard Finance processes and or experience of working with Finance Business teams
  • Communicate tax accounting and process concepts to wider team
  • Ability to work well in and across diverse global teams
  • Manage risks and issues and identify which require escalation to Project Management
  • Influencing, networking and team working skills
