ABOUT THE JOB Harvey Norman are looking for an Inventory Analyst to work in our Dublin Head Office based in Swords. You will be deeply involved in managing the department's stock and in limiting risk while maximising both sales and profit. You will be responsible for forecasting, maintaining optimum stock levels for all products in the department and management of the replenishment process, ensuring your alignment to the overall business plan in order to achieve agreed KPI's. YOUR JOB - your tasks will include: Managing the replenishment process Identifying lines which are suitable for replenishment and ensuring they are set up on SAP replenishment with the appropriate settings. Run, analyse and process weekly, bi-weekly and monthly replenishment. Liaising with suppliers to ensure availability of stock before orders are raised. Removing lines from SAP replenishment as they approach the end of their life. Regularly reviewing replenishment settings with the Merchandise Planner and amending as required. Forecasting In conjunction with the team, forecast short and medium-term requirements at product level to safeguard stock availability while minimising exposure. Liaise with suppliers so that there is clear understanding of future requirements. Maximising sales and profit Ensuring that core lines are always in stock without being over-stocked. Monitoring sales of all lines and Suggesting additional buys where appropriate. Minimising risk by highlighting slow-sellers and potential overstocks and recommending appropriate action. Monitoring stock levels of best-sellers at branch level and making necessary adjustments. Reporting Prepare weekly and monthly sales, margin and stock reports and be able to understand and contribute to discussions about same. Become a ‘super-user- of internal Excel-based reporting systems, helping to develop and improving the existing suite of reports to achieve better data accessibility. Data management Work with the team to ensure accurate and up-to-date Product coding and attributing. Pricing. Order file. YOUR PROFILE - your knowledge, skills and experience include: Experience and Qualifications: Proficient in Microsoft packages with excellent MS Excel knowledge. Previous experience in a similar role is essential. Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to process and use large volumes of data, and to present them in a confident and accessible manner. Strong numerical, logical and problem-solving abilities. You must be a strong team player with the ability to work with colleagues, managers and stores in an unstructured and often ad-hoc way for the benefit of the company. Able to influence others in order to help to move the change process forward. Understanding of the market place and awareness of competitor activity.
