Financial Controller required for the 4* Trinity City Hotel

Financial Controller The Trinity City Hotel, which is part of MHL Hotel Collection is currently seeking applications from suitably qualified candidates for the role of Financial Controller. Reporting to the Hotel General Manager and also working closely with the Group Finance Director, the role involves overall responsibility for the Hotel finance department with a key focus on maintaining and controlling all aspects of the finance function to include financial reporting and planning, budgetary control and control of financial systems and procedures. You will be responsible for producing daily, weekly and monthly financial reports for use by the hotel Management Team and Company Directors. The primary tasks of the role will include: Producing monthly management accounts within the agreed reporting deadlines. Preparing and analysing accurate and timely management reports. Ensuring that all balance sheets are managed and monitored on a regular basis. Preparing and monitoring the monthly and annual operating budget / forecasts of the hotel as required. Providing analyses and make recommendations as required to enable the management team in decision-making Providing leadership skills required to ensure the smooth operation of the finance department and as a key member of the senior management team. Representing the hotel in all matters financial - suppliers, service providers, statutory bodies etc. The successful applicant will preferably be a qualified Accountant or at final stage qualification and have a minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role within the Hospitality sector. Strong IT skills with experience of Micro pay, TAS and a hotel property management system would be an advantage.  An attractive salary package awaits the right candidate with potential future opportunities within our ever expanding Group.
