This Payroll Manager permanent position is with a leading Cambridge based Engineering company who have a great international reputation and are in need of someone to lead their payroll function through a change period and create a sustainable well formed payroll function and team

This engineering organisation have an very Strong international presence Which has been built through rapid organic growth and a culture of rewarding staff whilst treating customers with respect. Based in Central Cambridge there is no parking but great public transport links and excellent facilities on site.


Payroll Manager duties and responsibilities;

  • Manage the Payroll team of 4
  • Creating solid long term payroll procedures
  • Running payroll reports weekly and monthly
  • Test accuracy of Payroll data
  • Starters and leavers processing
  • Escalated payroll query management
  • Ad hoc payroll management and training of the current payroll team


Characteristics and desired experience of this Payroll Manager;

  • Prior payroll experience with full manual calculations
  • experience helping a team to transition through a change period
  • Great team work and communication skills
  • systems savvy
  • Proactive nature
