Compliance Specialist

Compliance Specialist-12 month contract  A rapidly growing investment firm is looking to hire a Compliance specialist for their team in Cork city, on a 12 month maternity contract. Key responsibilities: Providing assistance to management on reporting on Compliance matters, including input into monthly reports for senior management; Providing compliance advice, guidance and approval of relevant business initiatives and materials Monitoring of adherence to policies and procedures, and compliance with the firm's regulatory obligations; Supporting the Head of Compliance in delivering training to staff on Compliance and AML matters Conducting risk assessments across the business to identify key Compliance risk and assess the adequacy of the control environment; Researching new and existing regulation and legislation and analysing the impact for the company Supporting the Compliance team in enhancing the culture of compliance within the organisation Key requirements You will have 3+ years' experience in a second line function, preferably Compliance, within the financial services sector A Compliance qualification would be advantageous, as would experience in the investment management/funds sector Knowledge of financial regulations and legislation. Experience of MiFID and AML regulations would be particularly valuable Ability to prioritise effectively to meet time bound objectives is key You must be an enthusiastic, ethical individual with the highest standards of integrity, who will uphold our Business Values.
