Senior Accounts Assistant - Maldron Hotel Newlands Cross We have a fantastic new opportunity for an experienced Senior Accounts Assistant to join the Dalata Group based in the Maldron Hotel Newlands Cross. We are looking for a talented individual with accounting experience preferably in a hospitality or retail role. Objective of the Role Reporting to the Hotel Accountant, the Senior Accounts Assistant will provide support to the Hotel Accountant and the Hotel Management team. Key Duties and Responsibilities Assistance in preparation of monthly management accounts including Profit and Loss account and Balance Sheet. Assistance in preparation and posting of accruals/prepayments, debtors, creditors, cash/bank, net wages, gift vouchers and all other month end balance sheet reconciliations. Ensuring all sales are recorded accurately and there is a robust system in place for highlighting issues. Accounts Receivable - Ensure that the system of recording, invoicing and chasing of payments is done in an effective manner and that that the property's debtors are tracked and monitored periodically. Accounts Payable - Processing and reconciliation of creditors invoices, both electronic and manual input. To drive and lead our departmental managers in achieving our hotel KPI's. Pro-active contribution to the overall property cost management. Safeguard the assets of the hotel with particular emphasis on the maintenance of sound internal control systems. Requirements: We are looking for an ambitious, confident and professional individual with strong communication, organisational, analytical and management skills. The ideal candidate will demonstrate accounting experience, preferably in a hospitality, food & beverage environment or within the retail sector. The ideal candidate will be a qualified or part qualified accountant. Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
