An exciting and progressive St. Ives based Assistant Management Accountant is required for this high growth and dynamic Science and Research business who have a great reputation in the energy sector and need someone who is part qualified or at the beginning stages of their ACCA/CIMA to come in and add commercial value through great training and mentoring across financial analysis and month end accounting

Description

Assistant Management Accountant Duties and responsibilities;

• Assist in producing weekly and monthly management accounts packs
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting
• Accruals, prepayments and journals
• Financial reporting
• ad hoc financial analysis including investigating variances
• Creating Management information packs to drive business performance from raw data
• Reconciliations
• Assisting the finance manager at period end

Profile

Characteristics and desired experience for the Assistant Management Accountant;

• Part qualified or early stage ACCA/CIMA studier
• Experience in accruals, prepayments and journals
• A desire to progress and complete your studies
• Strong excel capabilities to include pivot tables and vlookups
• Have a commercial outlook
• Good communications skills to business partner with senior management and science and research staff
