The Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB) Finance and Business Management (F&BM) group partners closely with the business to provide financial planning, budgetary support and business assistance to facilitate the delivery of the CIB business strategy.

This role will report to the Regional (APAC) CIB Business Manager for Operations and will directly partner with the head of Australia and New Zealand (A&NZ) Operations predominantly as well as key other Investor Services (IS) partners supporting the business across APAC. As part of this role the individual would contribute and become a key member of the broader APAC F&BM Operations t eam and will have responsibility for the oversight of the regional IS business support. They will also work closely across the organization with multiple functions; Controllers, Planning & Analysis, Technology, Business Architecture & Transformation etc.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Partnering with business leaders and key stakeholders to fully understand the key drivers and issues
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the business and its functions
  • Be a trusted advisor with local, regional and global Operations leads and product aligned business management leads
  • Present financial and strategic analysis to senior management, business managers and other functions and departments in the firm
  • Conduct analysis to assess business performance against targets, and to provide financial guidance on strategic decisions
  • Being pro-active and able to take on initiatives and programmes that will assist with the local and regional Operational strategy and controls environments
  • Provide transparent, forward looking reporting - Forecasting
  • Headcount Management - approval, tracking and reporting whilst reflecting risks and opportunities
  • Expense Management - compile and lead monthly Business reviews for local, regional and global stakeholders. Manage vendor tracking maintenance process
  • Productivity Management - manage tracking process, supporting initiatives, and providing cost saving suggestions to the business
  • Business Performance and Planning - lead annual business budget process, ensure optimal resource budgeting and allocations to achieve business priorities
  • Oversee investment / productivity initiatives across the end-to-end business to achieve multi-year targets
  • Manage off-shoring models - review and approve billing models and charters

To be successful you will need:
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in finance/accounting within the financial services industry
  • Business or Finance/Accounting degree/qualification would be beneficial
  • Strong analytical skills, ability to present new ideas in a compelling manner from financial data and create meaningful reports for senior management
  • Proven track record in process improvement/change management and leadership displaying influencing skills
  • Ability to multi-task and work autonomously within a local and global team environment
  • Possess the ability to research issues/problems & focus on a 'solution-based' approach to their work environment
  • Solid delegating, planning and time management skills to meet strict deadlines
