Operational Risk Analyst- Business & IT Continuity

Principle accountabilities for the role Provide oversight, monitoring and independent challenge of the first line of defence to ensure that Business and IT Continuity responsibilities are carried out effectively. Assisting the IT and business areas in implementing effective continuity risk management best practices by developing and establishing continuous risk identification, measurement, management, control and reporting. Support the review and maintenance of the Continuity and Resilience Policy, ensuring that it is aligned to the enterprise wide risk management framework. Work pro-actively with all IT and business areas, Maintain ongoing communication with relevant Business and IT continuity areas to provide effective guidance and support on risk identification, assessment and remediation Research, integrate and communicate industry best practises regarding Continuity risk management. Reviewing and analysing information from risk management tools, including risk control self-assessment, key risk indicators, loss event data in conjunction with other environmental changes to proactively monitor the control environment and identify and address potential weaknesses and/or gaps in a timely manner. Maintain ongoing communication with relevant Business and IT continuity areas to ensure effective support and engagement regarding risk identification, assessment and remediation. Ideal Candidate Relevant experience of Continuity and/or IT risk analysis and related activities, preferably in a financial services IT environment. Professional certifications such as BCI, CRISC or CISA that establishes credibility and capability in the IT Risk market. Demonstrable knowledge and experience of continuity and/or IT risk management frameworks and of risk analysis, preferably in an IT environment, and industry-related risk frameworks and policies.
