Key Accountabilities

  • Acting as the Finance Lead representative and contact point on agreed business-led (non-Finance driven) projects/change initiatives, taking responsibility for the overall delivery within Finance and engaging the appropriate Finance teams and individuals
  • Own & maintain the BAU change tracker for the Finance team
  • Escalate/communicate high priority changes to the Finance team as required
  • Work closely with the Finance team to ensure robust and timely completion of impact assessments
  • Responsible for high standard, complete and timely delivery of all Finance work-streams associated with agreed projects/change initiatives. This would include end to end process solutions (including transaction code mapping and data-warehouse build input), requirements, testing and conversion
  • Set and sign off test plans for Finance - this will include defining and agreeing an appropriate test scope including finance test matrices to incorporate all required scenarios for finance supplier platform testing
  • Ensure that all test defects are logged, triaged and resolved
  • Support the project/change lead by addressing and resolving any queries
  • Define and agree all first occurrence validation requirements
  • Own and lead relationships with key third party suppliers as required
  • Be a ‘change champion' within Finance and provide insight, education and guidance to the wider finance community
  • Tracking and reporting on change projects

Skills and Experience

  • Demonstrable project/change experience within a regulated financial services organisation - business analysis and/or project management
  • Understanding of finance processes, risks and controls for mid-size and listed organisations
  • Experience of mapping processes and controls
  • Experience and working knowledge of internal control standards and regulatory requirements across financial operations, financial statement close processes and finance IT functions
  • IT literacy in financial systems, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Good knowledge of test planning & associated documentation
  • Proven track record of building & completing finance test scenario matrices
  • Relevant experience and proven ability to drive defect resolution on supplier platforms

Desirable

  • Qualified accountant
  • Financial Services background
  • Financial controls experience within financial services (SOX experience preferred but not required).
  • Business analysis and/or project management qualification or qualified by experience
  • Knowledge of the First Vision platform
