Financial Accountant - Boutique Investment Management firm


Opportunity is at a leading boutique investment management firm based in London and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. Since its inception in 2008, they have been trusted by high net worth individuals, families, groups and institutions globally to protect and grow their wealth portfolios.

They have three key areas of their business:


-Advisory Solutions (providing advisory services as a family office to UHNW families/individuals)
-Client Portfolios (developing and constructing investment portfolios for clients)
-Direct Investments (primarily their Hedge Fund and co-invest Real Estate transactions)

Role and Responsibilities:


This is a qualified accountant role, sitting within the Advisory side of the business, supporting key clients in their financial operations and accounting. It is a diverse client facing role working alongside the senior partners. It will also include cross-function training on other sides of the business including investments and trading support. This is a long-term hire suitable for someone keen to grow and progress within an exciting fast paced team.

-Financial accounting and reporting for client investments, holding companies and personal portfolios.
-Includes monthly balance sheet production, expense analysis and delivering comprehensive quarterly investment reports.
-Overseeing Treasury management including bank reconciliations, yield analysis, currency reporting and liquidity forecasting.
-Processing and providing the control environment for client bill-pay and capital transfers.
-Collating data for tax computations and liaising with the clients' tax advisors.
-Client project work.

Requirements:


-ACA/ACCA qualified Accountant from a Top 10 or large mid-tier UK Accountancy practice
-Experience of preparing accounts financial statements for high net worth individuals or financial services clients
-Strong communication skills
-Capable of working in a small team and interacting across different business areas including managing external business relationships with a number of global banks and custodians
-Highly organised with an understanding of how to operate in high control environments and able to work under pressure
