CENTRAL BANK OF TRINIDAD & TOBAGO Eric Williams Plaza, Independence Square, POS SENIOR PORTFOLIO ANALYST The position reports to the Manager, Reserves and Domestic Market Management and as part of a team, is responsible for overseeing the foreign currency investment portfolios while ensuring compliance with the Bank's investment policies and guidelines. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES: Monitors the performance of investment portfolios on a daily and timely basis, ensuring accurate reporting; provides feedback and recommendations to address issues. Develops and maintains strong governance policies and internal controls, ensuring adherence at all times to the Bank's policies. Assists with the selection of Investment Managers and other third-party service providers, monitors their performance and produces quarterly reports and other reports as required. Maintains research documents and associated materials, utilising selected research software packages and analytical systems. Produces periodic presentations and written commentaries on trends in fixed income, agency, equity and currency markets. Gathers information and makes projections on investment issues to help inform investment policies. Supervises staff, monitors and manages performance and builds human resource capacity. Nurtures effective and professional relationships with different stakeholders and represents the Bank at seminars and meetings. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE University Degree (minimum Lower Second Class Honours or a G.P.A of 3) in Finance, Business, Economics or professional designation such as ACCA or CFA. A Post Graduate Degree in Finance, Statistics, Business or equivalent post qualification training would be an asset. At least 8 years' experience in a similar capacity in the financial sector. SKILLS AND TRAINING Sound investment and analytical skill sets, demonstrable knowledge of financial modelling and trend analysis. Sound knowledge of portfolio management, global financial and macroeconomic environments. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and other relevant applications. Supervisory training.
