Career Opportunity Do you have training and experience in Risk Management and seeking an opportunity to join a progressive company as Chief Risk Officer ? POSITION RESPONSIBILITY The Chief Risk Officer is responsible for: Developing and maintaining enterprise risk management frameworks, tools, risk metrics and related policies and guidelines and effectively implement them across the Company and in line with RHDL's risk appetite. Build, continuously improving and providing independent oversight and advice on enterprise risk, compliance management and on the audit framework; Assisting management in design and development of processes and controls to manage risks. Identifying changes in the organization's implicit risk appetite and risk tolerance Identifying and monitoring known and emerging issues affecting the organization's risks and controls. Providing guidance and training related to risk management and control processes Monitoring compliance with laws, corporate governance rules, regulations, codes and policies. Compiling risk information and prepare reports to Executive Management and the Board Working closely and managing the Risk Champions and the Process Owners to provide a cohesive and collaborative risk and compliance approach to ensure effective and efficient risk and compliance oversight. Ensuring teams are monitoring risk register and any potential changes in the environment to affect risk; Masters in Risk Management, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related professional qualification; Minimum five (5) years' experience in Risk Management and Compliance field, including working knowledge of risk management governance and controls; Risk Management designation/training (FRM, CFA or related designation); Sound knowledge of Companies Act; Demonstrated relationship-building skills, with a superior ability to make things happen through the use of positive influence; Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Excel is essential, including experience using macros; Process design and analytical skills; Above average skills in: technical and professional writing, conducting audits, regulatory examinations/inspections, emotional intelligence and interviewing; Demonstrated ability to: build teams, resolve conflicts, meet deadlines, gain buy-in to processes, regulations and concept changes, act with integrity and operate in a professional manner at all times; Excellent negotiation and time management skills; Ability to communicate effectively; and Research, analysis and judgment skills. ·       Providing regulatory compliance expertise to support strategic initiatives and advise the business in managing the compliance risk associated with regulatory requirements Specific Knowledge, Qualification & Experience Required Persons who meet the requirements and have an interest in the position are invited to submit their applications by October 19, 2018 to: Chief Risk Officer C/o Human Resource Department Rose Hall (Developments) Limited The Palms, Rosehall OR Please note that only short listed applicants will be contacted
