Junior Treasury Analyst
Job Summary Responsible for performing various cash, disbursement, and cash accounting activities within the Corporate Treasury function. The role is primarily focused on duties of a treasury department including, but not limited to electronic payments, cash position, and liquidity management. Other tasks could include bank account analysis, audit inquiries, collections and backup of other core treasury functions, as assigned. This individual may be required to provide input to or participate in various projects and will perform other duties as requested. Primary Responsibilities: Contribute to the global cash management strategy Ensure accurate maintenance of bank account, balance Familiar with foreign currency and wire system Review vendor database Support cash forecasting process Prioritize invoices according to cash discount potential and payment terms Respond to all vendor inquiries Reconcile vendor statements, research and correct discrepancies Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices Administration of the disbursement files from various corporate areas Perform bank reconciliations - reconciliation of the bank statement against the GL and reconciliation of any assigned clearing accounts Respond to audit inquiries in a timely manner; as required, make calls to the bank directly to clarify adjustments or to clarify items on the bank statements; liaise with auditors to confirm bank balances as of a certain date Special projects as assigned Professional Requirements Bachelor's degree preferably in finance, accounting, business or equivalent work experience. Minimum 2 years of experience in an accounting, treasury or finance environment Good spreadsheet and database skills. Strong organizational, critical thinking and customer service skills Ability to multi-task and manage competing deadlines Effective written and verbal communication skills Ability to work in a team environment.
