Senior account assistant
A leading well-established Builders Providers Group is looking to recruit a Senior Accounts Assistant to join their dynamic, innovative and hardworking team. The successful candidate will be based at our branch in West Dublin, but will also provide holiday relief cover for 2 other branches in North and South Dublin. This is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to join and develop their skills and become an integral member of a small finance team in a fast paced environment. Main Duties to include: Accounts Payable function - sorting purchase orders and delivery dockets and matching to invoices, entering onto Intact IQ (back office package), preparing payment runs, supplier account reconciliations and maintaining supplier database and relationships. Accounts Receivable function - sorting sales orders, delivery dockets and matching to invoices produced by invoice run on Intact IQ, customer account reconciliations, credit control and maintaining customer database and relationships. Administration of petty cash / expense reports / credit card bills. Assisting Group FC on production of monthly management accounts pack Vat Returns. Participating in quarterly stocktakes. General office administrative duties including answering phones. Communicating and liaising with all department heads in relation to all accounts matters (Sales, Retail Store, On-Line, Stores & Deliveries). Previous experience in Payroll Processing would be an advantage but not a pre-requisite. Experience Required: Minimum two year's general accounts experience in AP and AR. Accounts technician student / qualified preferred. Experience in on-line banking, bank reconciliations, vat returns, ROS. Good knowledge of MS Office package with good Excel, Word and Outlook an advantage. Good knowledge and experience of working with accounting packages, experience of working with Intact IQ software an advantage. Personal Requirements: Excellent communication and telephone skills/manner essential. Team player mentality with ability to develop and manage both internal and external relationships in a busy environment. Service oriented with proactive approach to providing high level finance function support to the business. Good planning and organisational skills and ability to work on own initiative. The ability to remain calm under pressure while demonstrating strong attention to detail. Demonstrate flexibility in all aspects of the office environment to enhance and grow the business Continuous learning in relation to best practice and new ideas. Prepared to work at different locations as required.
