Our client is looking to appoint an Assistant Management Accountant to join their finance function in Birmingham. The purpose of the role is to support the Management Accountant in providing accurate and timely financial reporting and assist with the preparation of the monthly management accounts.

Description

As Assistant Management Accountant you will be responsible for the following;

  • Standard costing
  • Monthly stock reconciliations and bi-annual monthly stock-takes
  • Variance analysis
  • Preparation of monthly management accounts
  • Budgeting and financial forecasts
  • Accurate reporting of company sales and cost of sales ensuring all variances to budgets are investigated and explained
  • Adhoc financial reports and analysis

Profile

The successful Assistant Management Accountant will have the following;

  • Internal and external stakeholder management
  • Good communicator
  • Part qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA or equivalent
  • Good system skills including excellent excel skills
  • Industry experience would be desirable
