Manager - Financial Planning & Analysis

These leading utilities corporation is seeking to appoint a Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis to lead a team of oversee financial and business performance analysis, planning, reporting and financial modelling to provide commercial insights and advice to support operational and strategic decision making.

This is an excellent opportunity to play a key part in a large complex organisation, with progression prospects. You will drive transformation and be critical in the implementation of new processes and systems.

Key accountabilities
  • Provide oversight and management of the Corporation's financial planning and analysis activities including the development of consolidated and business unit financial plans, budgets and forecasts.
  • Guide the production of reporting and analysis of organisational and business unit performance including providing insight into key variances to plans and forecasts, identifying potential risks and opportunities and understanding the impact on resource and funding allocations.
  • Lead a team of Senior Commercial Leads to partner effectively with Business Relationship Managers to provide financial insight and drive commercial performance and decision making.
  • Lead the articulation of key business drivers and the provision of critical insights to support commercial decision making.
  • Ensure effective and appropriate management accounting systems, policies, processes, methods and practices are in place
  • Deliver timely and accurate Shareholder and Board & Executive Reporting
  • Actively participate in the Commercial Performance leadership team to foster a collaborative and supportive culture across the team.

About you
  • Demonstrated experience in business performance analysis models and the planning, budgeting and forecasting process to support effective decision-making and business planning
  • Proven ability to drive change and transformation across the organisation and implement process improvement
  • Strong data modelling and advanced analytics, scenario modelling and the development of actionable insights from big data sets
  • Professional Accounting Qualification (CA/CPA)
  • Several years' experience working in finance in a large complex organisation, with team leadership experience
  • Exposure to large GL and TM1
