In this role with a leading Sydney University you will be tasked with the provision of analytical support across multiple portfolios in support of the implementation of category and sourcing strategy as well as providing advice and access to procurement tools and services.
Key accountabilities
- Support the development and execution of sourcing strategies in order to capture sustainable benefits
- Provide analytical support and insights across spend, demand, the supply market and suppliers
- Support the development of strategies for specific markets and industries that impact the spend under management
- Utilise supplier performance management frameworks to measure supplier performance
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to accelerate the maturity of Procurement Services
Experience and skills
- Demonstrated ability to analyse and grasp key concepts and issues quickly and translate strategy into practical applications and solutions
- Proven ability to analyse, report on and present complex qualitative and qualitative data
- Developed understanding of industry recognised procurement process and sourcing methodologies
- Demonstrated understanding of relevant supplier markets in relation to spend, growth and cost drivers
- Experience utilising analysis tools and working within the confines of a category and/or sourcing strategy
- High-level Excel skills
