I am currently recruiting 2 roles for Research/Project Accountants in North Dublin. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring research grants and claims as well as producing reports are provided with up-to-date financial information on projects.  Duties and responsibilities: The role is required to ensure expenditure on projects is within the designated rules of Funding Bodies. These tasks will include but are not limited to the following: Provide comprehensive support and advice to the  Research Community regarding all the financial requirements relating to assigned research projects Preparation/review and approval of expenditure claims for individual research projects as part of the submissions process to Funding Bodies Ensure that funding claims/invoices are organised in a timely manner, and that expendures incurred on projects are eligible and supported by appropriate documentation Liaise with funders/external stakeholders regarding financial reports Review and approval of financial elements in research project applications/proposals Regular liaison with RIS and Human Resources departments to ensure Experience and Qualifications The successful candidate will hold an accounting qualification or currently be in the process of undertaking an accounting qualification. The successful applicant will be well organised, be able to co-ordinate and progress the tasks associated with the post on their own initiative. S/he will be flexible and possess an ability to work effectively as part of the team, offering support to colleagues when required. The applicant must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be sensitive to the differing requirements of a diverse University setting.
