Financial Analyst

FINANCIAL ANALYST 9-MONTH FTC CPL have partnered with a global medical device business for their latest hire. You will be a qualified accountant with prior financial analysis experience with the desire to work in a fast paced, complex environment with a global focus. You will be responsible for providing financial and analytical support to the Global Operations Finance team. The primary responsibility of your role is to collect and analyse data across Global Operations reporting and contribute to the consolidation of operational results and metrics. The ability to work to tight reporting deadlines is crucial to this role. This is a 9-month FTC with 5-10% travel required. RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide daily support to the Global Operations Financial Planning & Analysis group as needed. Analyse individual Plant, Site or cost centre financials to identify significant variances Work with the wider Global Operations teams to support the strategic objectives of the group Support the monthly Profit & Loss reporting process as well as forecast updates as per the Corporate schedule Manage a standard set of management reports with adequate commentary and analysis Work with specific Project leads & teams on the reporting and tracking of actual & projected spends Ensure the integrity of Financial data and alignment within the consolidated accounts Participate in the creation of Standard Operating Procedures for the group Ad-hoc reporting and special projects as assigned. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance discipline required 1 to 2 years of experience in Accounting and Financial analysis General accepted accounting principles and standards (GAAP) Systems knowledge required; Hyperion Financial Management strongly preferred The incumbent must possess some knowledge of ERP systems (preferably SAP) and or an aptitude to learn; proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite ( Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.); Tableau Strong written and verbal communication skills TRAVEL REQUIRED: 5-10% For more information, please contact Peter Casey on 019476205 or peter.casey(at)cpl.ie
