Client Details

Based in Ellesmere Port, this leisure and retail business operating across multiple sites throughout the UK, has an opportunity for a Finance Manager to join their accountancy function reporting to the Head of Finance and taking responsibility of managing the day to day finance function.

Description

As Finance Manager, your role will be hands on and support all areas across the business including finance, business development and planning, budgeting, IT and administration. Key duties include:

• Preparation of monthly management accounts which includes P&L for each site and balance sheet reconciliations
• Preparation of financial reports in a timely manner
• Supporting the business planning process by liaising with operations and assisting in financial forecasting
• Overseeing the cash and banking processes, nominal ledgers and transaction reconciliations
• Assisting in the preparation of annual budgets and variance analysis
• Ensuring compliance with tax legislation
• Developing and improving financial controls and systems
• Working in conjunction with IT support
• Supervising a team of 3

Profile

The successful applicant must demonstrate the following experience and skills:

• Strong communication skills and able to build relationships across the departments and different sites
• Strong management accounting experience
• Ability to take ownership and show initiative
• Detail oriented and strong organisational skills
• Part qualified studier or qualified by experience will be considered
• Enjoys providing an excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders
• Advanced Excel skills
