We are seeking an eager Accounts Trainee to join our team based in Brentford, West London. This is an entry level and wide-ranging role that provides support across the finance team as a whole and to maintain the accounts payable ledger.

We hope to find a student who is looking for a company to support in their professional development and build a long-term career in a supportive and challenging environment. You will be working towards your AAT (Level 2 or 3) or have a desire to work towards this and be keen to study hard to achieve this result.

The role:

  • Assisting with the maintenance of the accounts payable ledger, including:
    • Posting invoices / credit notes onto the Sage system
    • Monitoring the aged creditors ledger, ensuring items are matched quickly and accurately
    • Preparing fortnightly payment runs
    • Performing month end routines to close the ledger
  • Assist the administration of the company expense system
  • Assist month end management account procedures as required
  • Support improvement projects across the finance department as a whole
  • Perform ad-hoc duties as required

What are we looking for?

  • A-Level educated (Currently studying AAT Level 2 or 3 )
  • Process driven, logical and has meticulous attention to detail
  • Focused and disciplined, ability to work under pressure
  • Flexible approach; ability to adapt to different situations to meet the needs of the business
  • Team player who is eager and ready to learn
  • Experience in an office-based environment preferred
  • Experience with Sage would be beneficial but not essential.
