Financial Accountancy - 6 Month contract - up to £500p/d

Job Summary/Purpose The role of the BSRA will be to maintain key processes for the Corporate Centre to give the incumbent staff more time to work on the change programme currently being developed. The ideal candidate will be familiar with financial reporting in a large company environment using SAP.

Job Outline Maintain and report Centrica Corporate Centre balance sheet controls. Account reconciliations are mainly prepared offshore and reviewed and summary reports prepared on shore. The BSRA will be responsible for ensuring the reconciliations are prepared and reviewed to the monthly timetable. Some of the reconciliations are not up to date and in preparation for moving the reconciliation onto the Blackline control system.

The content and methodology for each reconciliation need to be reviewed against the Centrica balance sheet reconciliation policy and any required actions implemented. The BSRA will prepare the summary of accounts prepared, which is the main management reporting of control account activity. Controls are reported manually and through a reporting program, ARIS.

During the month end to monitor the reporting of the Corporate Centre in SAP-BPC to ensure the BPC control checks are completed and the results of the Corporate Centre are completed to the Group timetable Preparation of intercompany settlement of the Group share awards although not part of the initial activities the BSRA will become involved with intercompany processes in SAP and the Treasury system Quantum Person Specification The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following: Working expertise in SAP-ERP, particularly of Financial Accounting and Controlling modules.

Use of SAP-BPC and SAP-BI would be useful. Previous experience for reporting balance sheet controls in a large company Enthusiasm for systems, and the ability to pick understanding of new systems quickly Qualified Accountant.
