This role supports a rapidly growing and high profile business, and offers close interaction with colleagues located both within Macquarie and in the assets themselves; you will therefore be in regular contact with external advisers and service providers.

The scope of the role will include:
  • Structuring of funds and management of relevant tax matters
  • M&A transactions for the MIRA managed funds including both acquisitions and disposals
  • Structuring around material refinancing and reorganisations
  • Oversight of the tax management of fund held investments and the funds themselves

About You

You are a qualified ACA (or equivalent), with transactional experience gained while working either in-house or with a well-regarded accountancy firm to at least a Senior Manager/Associate Director level (or equivalent). You have a strong understanding of tax and structuring issues relating to funds, and of current topical issues affecting fund and deal structuring. International experience in this arena would be particularly highly regarded.

You will be able to demonstrate strong analytical skills, a high level of numeracy, and the ability to manage complex tax issues. You are highly organised, flexible, and have a proven history of managing a range of competing priorities and projects to deliver to tight deadlines. You thrive and deliver your best work in a dynamic and entrepreneurial environment, and have a highly commercial outlook. You can demonstrate your ability and willingness to think laterally and learn quickly, and to interact effectively with both internal and external contacts at all levels.

This role sits in a small team with a continuous focus on qualitative improvements, ensuring that the highest quality work is delivered.

This is a 12 month maternity leave cover position, commencing in January 2019.
