Description

Finance Analyst duties and responsibilities

  • Support Senior operational and financial Management team in their financial and analytical understanding through detailed commentary on analysis and reporting
  • Identify opportunities to improve performance and increase sales/margin
  • Assist in financial month end, quarterly forecasting and the annual budget process
  • Provide insightful MI for the senior leadership to help drive strategic decision making
  • Update daily/weekly/monthly reports for the management team to review
  • KPI reporting and creation
  • Assist with the data reporting infrastructure
  • Assist with the production of the monthly board report
  • Support the annual external audit
  • Continuously seek improvements in current processes

    • Profile

    Desired experience and characteristics

  • Strong academic success or recent show of achieving progression in an analytical position
  • Finance Analyst experience is ideal however business analysis experience in a commercial and finance related field will be considered
  • Ideally studying towards an accounting qualification or looking to commence doing so (ACCA/CIMA/CFA/ACA/AAT)
  • The ability and confidence to challenge the status quo
  • Business partnering and communication skills to translate figures into useful management information
  • Strong Excel knowledge
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • A problem-solving approach to work
  • The ability to work with large amounts of data
