Michael Page Finance are pleased to be partnering with a Multi Academy Trust based in Harlow, to appoint a Director of Finance in to their team, to lead the day to day finance function and strategic direction of the organisation.

Description

Key responsibilities include:

• Working closely with the Headteacher to develop Trust strategy, ensuring that plans are financially robust.
• Ensuring robust financial management is in place across the Trust.
• Providing line management of staff and developing the team for high performance.
• Providing oversight and strategic direction for financial matters across the Trust.
• Providing financial information and expert financial advice to the Headteacher and the Board of Directors.
• Providing guidance and support in financial matters to other senior leaders within the Trust.
• Planning and carrying out key financial activity including budgeting, forecasting and management accounting.
• Developing strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and relevant external individuals and organisations.

Profile

The successful candidate will be:

• A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
• An excellent people manager able to motivate and develop the team
• Experienced in managing a wide range of financial tasks including budgeting and forecasting
• Experienced in operating at senior management / Board level
• Able to think strategically and deliver operationally
• Capable of developing systems to provide effective financial control

Job Offer

£55,000 per annum plus a very generous benefits package
