Michael Page are partnering with leading independent accountancy practice, recruiting a Manager and Senior Manager / Partner Designate, as key additions to their North Devon offices, across both Barnstaple and Bideford. The firm is one of the leading and growing firms in the South West. As a result of succession planning and ongoing sustained growth, through a combination of both organic client growth and having undertaken a number of successful mergers across the South West, the firm is looking to bolster the North Devon offices with these key additions. The successful individuals will carve influential roles, playing a pivotal and major part in the further growth and development of the firm across North Devon. The opportunities provide a genuine route to progress to Partner level and carve a key career move in this growing firm.

Description

The North Devon offices act for a very varied spectrum of business sectors, including agriculture, manufacturing, tourism and leisure, retail, charities, larger corporate and wide ranging smaller OMBs and SMEs, sole traders and partnerships. Alongside this mixed industry client base, the firm also has a highly regarded, growing and successful, agricultural and rural related services sector. Given the growth and requirements across the business, dependent on the background, strengths and preferences of the right professionals, the portfolio will be moulded to work and fit around this. Therefore, both specialists and those with an interest within the agricultural accounting sector, as well as those with a more mixed, generalist sector accounting background are equally of interest to both situations, with the portfolio and client base being moulded around this accordingly. Based in the Bideford or Barnstaple offices, you will take on the management of a varied portfolio, fully managing this, building relationships and looking to further develop the client base and wider department. You will manage and oversee the delivery of accounting, taxation and wider planning and business advice to your clients, managing staff, workload and budgets. You will develop and build relationship with clients advising on accounting and added value, advisory services, alongside overseeing a quality compliance service. This will involve projects across business and tax planning, acquisitions and wider ranging advisory projects. You will become a recognised professional within the local business community, networking, developing relationships and looking to further the growth and development of the firms client base. You will progress towards partnership on a negotiable and realistic timescale with a clear path on offer.

Profile

You will be an ACA, ACCA, CTA qualified professional, or hold a similar qualification. You will have a career background within the accountancy practice sector, at Manager, Senior Manager, or salaried Associate, Director or Partner level. You will have a background from any of Top Tier, Mid Tier, medium/large independent, or smaller accounting firm environment. You will bring demonstrable experience of managing a portfolio of mixed clients of growing, profitable limited companies and OMBs up to, or over the audit threshold, across mixed industries. Or you may have a career focused dealing within the agricultural accounting sector and with associated, rural services sector clients. You will bring strengths on accounts, tax and advisory work and be looking to step up into a partner level role.

Job Offer

£35,000 - circa £60,000 + dependent on experience, background and level, plus benefits, negotiable.
