A highly successful accountancy practice, based in Taunton. The firm has a number of highly regarded and respected, private client and all-round, general practitioner partners, with a highly experienced support team of accounting and tax professionals around them, servicing a wide ranging client base. As a result of future planning for the development of the firm, the partners are seeking a career focused, all-round, general practitioner, with an additional strong lean and passion for the private client side, to join them, in this key role, as a General Practice & Private Client, Partner Designate. Joining the Taunton team as General Practice & Private Client, Partner Designate, you will carve a key role in this firms team, taking responsibility for a wide spectrum of sole traders, partnerships and limited company, OMB, SMEs on the general practice side. Alongside this you have private client tax responsibilities and wider mixed tax exposure . You will manage and oversee a significant portfolio of HNWI clients, directors, wide ranging individuals and Trusts, in a hands on technical capacity, delivering solutions on planning opportunities, IHT CGT etc ,as well as supervising more junior team members and helping with their development within the department. You will also have responsibility for assisting in the wider growth and development of the firm, through business development, networking and identifying advisory opportunities within the existing client base, for advisory project work, in a client facing capacity. You will be ACA, ACCA, and/or CTA qualified, or equivalent, with an accountancy practice background and demonstrable strenght and lean within tax, across private client, personal tax, or mixed tax. In addition you will have an all- round general practice grounding and you be able to demonstrate the ability to deal with complex tax issues, project management experience, staff management and the ability to manage a substantial client portfolio profitably. Alongside the technical and people management skills you will be able to demonstrate business development skills with examples of seeking out opportunities for developing new clients and for selling new services to existing clients. £55,000 - circa £80,000, on a partner designate/salaried partner basis, dependent on experience and background, negotiable.
