An accountancy practice based in Taunton is searching for a qualified ACA / ACCA Business Services Manager to join their highly successful team managing a varied portfolio of sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies OMBs in a role and firm providing excellent career progression and development potential.

Joining as a Business Services Manager you will be responsible for a varied portfolio of non-audit clients, across a range of industry sectors, across OMB Limited companies, sole-traders and partnerships/LLPs in a client facing role, building relationships and progressing in your accounting career With positive growth, there are genuine prospects for career progression and development potential, within the role and firm. You will take full responsibility for managing a portfolio of clients delivering the following:

Liaising with clients, providing guidance and managing client expectations
Organising and running all accounting assignments for the portfolio
Supervising and reviewing staff output, and providing help and guidance to more junior staff
Organising pre year-end tax planning work, and devising appropriate tax strategies for clients
Attendance at networking events and dealing with new prospect/potential client proposals


You will be ACA / ACCA qualified (or equivalent) or suitably qualified by experience, with significant relevant experience, in an accountancy practice background, at, or close to Business Services Manager level, as a Client Manager, Assistant Manager or experienced Senior Accountant, looking to step into a managerial role, with client portfolio management responsibility and experience. You will have good technical knowledge of accounts preparation and tax compliance. You will also have supervisory experience of accounts staff and be able to demonstrate the skills to develop relationships with clients and promote the development of your portfolio. Job Offer

£30,000 - £38,000 dependent on experience and background, plus benefits, negotiable
