Job Summary/Purpose:

  • To manage the operations, compliance and reporting activities related to TAX department in VIVA.


  1. Strategic:

    1. Contribute to the formulation of Tax function within VIVA

    2. Contribute to the formulation and implementation of the processes required within finance for compliance with Kuwait law

    3. Registration of the organization for VAT with Tax authority in Kuwait

  2. Operational:

    1. Manage the day to day operations of Tax department

    2. Develop robust reporting systems and processes in alignment with statutory policies and procedures -Ensure compliance of the same with Kuwaiti laws and regulations.

    3. Manage the preparation of tax statements, management information reports, and statutory reports and ensure alignment of the same with the local legislation, rules and regulations.

    4. Filing of tax returns at a frequency set by the Government authorities

    5. Support regulatory authorities (i.e: MoF, Tax authorities etc.) with necessary information/analysis as and when required in order to ensure compliance of VIVA with all the necessary tax requirements.

    6. Ensure tax filing (Zakat, KFAS, and VAT etc.) is completed on a timely basis. 

  1. People Management:  

    1. Work to improve employee performance through personal coaching and identifying training and development needs.

    2. Ensure Individual Development Plans (IDP) is completed for all staff in accordance with VIVA Telecom policy.

    3. Conduct annual performance appraisals (Performance Management System) and ensure objectives set are monitored and achieved
